Network - an engaged project with young people - exhibited in schools and colleges 2010 - 2011
The Young Photographer of the Year competition has been hosted by Hereford College of Arts since 2000. In 2010 Hereford Photography Festival invited young people from 10 schools and colleges across the county to take photographs on the theme ‘Network’.
Young people increasingly communicate through chat and photography published on social networking sites like Facebook. This project aims to ask questions about the publication of images of young people and the role of the Internet as a communication tool to express self-identity.
